别人都很难相信，一个高中时候英语差到极点的人，经常不及格的女孩，现在竟然在一家外企工作，英语不但说得流利，还在公司的会议中担任口语翻译！听到mavis娴熟而标准的口语，我不禁自己感叹，大学时候不坚持外语的学习，现在变成了哑巴英语。

mavis告诉我说：在学习英语中，她的偶像———匈牙利著名女翻译家卡扎·罗姆布一直激励着她。她一直在向这位精通10多种语言的作家学习。同时，mavis也在学习语言的过程中借鉴了身边人的一些成功经验，从而总结出了几点有效的学习方法，她希望能给更多想学习外语的人提供帮助。

1、一定要有目标，要自信，不能怀疑自己的能力、小视自己。坚信自己的毅力和语言才干。

2、小时候大人们总告诫我们做事切忌三天打鱼两天晒网。学习外语也是一样，要每天地坚持，不能中断。即使一天再忙，也要尽可能抽出时间来看一看、背一背。

3、语言学习起来必定会觉得枯燥，当感到厌倦的时候，适当地调节一下，变换一种学习的方式，例如听听外文歌曲，千万不能因为厌倦而放弃。

4、通过多种渠道来学习它。平时可以多看看外文节目，读外文报纸，听听外语广播等。

5、在背外语课文时不能死记硬背，要根据具体文章的内容语境，结合起来理解记忆。

6、记下常用的句型和套话，一有机会就去说它，这样你会越说越流利，而且越说越自信。

mavis说，其实地道的英语句式并不复杂，而且词语也不生僻。因此，没有必要太紧张，更不要让自己背一些又长又绕口的句子，不但没有机会用，而且还让自己很没有信心。

7、在出去旅游时也不要放弃任何学习的机会，见到外国人时可以用外语与他们交流。不要怕出错，怕难为情。当说错的时候，千万不要因为一次的错误而泄气！

8、只背诵正确的东西，错误的东西即便你说得再流利，也是错误的。因此，mavis建议，不要反复去看那些没有经过老师修改的练习，在寻找教材和学习班的时候，专业上的资质为选择的第一标准。
