honorable judges and dear friends, my name is maer dongyan, i’m very happy today to stand here to share my speech, my imagination, and my story as an air traffic controller e to love this job. besides, as the husband of my beloved, the father of my 8-year-old daughter, and the son of my old parents, i also love my family, a happy family.
ho plained about my returning home late and having meals outside often, just because my job needs me. and so many times, my mom or dad is sick in bed, but i cannot be there petent as a father, a husband, and a son, i still love my family. my daughter once said that it them, i’m satisfied. and as i see planes taking off and landing safely, and make sure that hundreds more families can get together, i’m comforted. i even seem to be able to see the happy smiles on their faces.
such is my job, though i cannot enjoy much of the happiness my family brings to me, i can experience the sense of responsibility through my e all the difficulties on my way, and make a contribution to the cause of air traffic control. and i believe, i am, and always will be a member of civil aviation, and my family as well.

now， the dream came true。
as an athlete of china， i’m here to win the gold medal of orienteering for our motherland。
i’m so proud of being one of the best players in the world。
but could you believe i had been a lazy girl when i was in junior high。
i’m not kidding！ at that time， running was my last favorite。
i really don’t know how to describe the first time i was on the track。
it was horrible。
when i started to run， i was simply out of breath。
and while i touched the finishing line， i really didn’t know if i was still alive。
it’s so funny， huh？ but it’s true， i did。
well， something happened and changed the situation。
we won the right of holding the olympic games in 2009.
after that， sports became a kind of game in campus。
and there are many sports clubs in school。
one day someone asked me：“are you gonna try one of those？”first i felt so wired。
“try to get into sports clubs？ are you kidding？” i said。
and she goes： “why not？？ it’s not hard at all， and so fascinating！” so i did tried one and i was so lucky to become one of those who did orienteering。
that is a fantastic sport！ you need to run and find where to go just by using a map and a compass。
it’s wasn’t popular in china at first。
but when we heard it might become a new event in 2009， we did practiced hard， and aimed to win the first champion of orienteering in the world。
when we practiced， there were a lot of troubles。
you know， sometimes you need to go with your feet， but sometimes you need to go with your heart。
in some situations， we faced the difficulties and problems。
and we need to solve that through teamwork and strong willpower。
so we can run faster， go higher and be stronger。
that is what we say—olympic spirit。
now the dream came true。
i’m standing here with all my body and my heart put in sports。
so do the people from all over the world to here at the olympic games。
it’s the olympic games that make us together。

首先，你应确信你已在发音技巧和语音方面下了很多功夫。否则，你将会闹出很多笑话。例如“我可以借一下你的自行车吗？”而你说成“我可以借一下你的后背吗？”“请递给我那个箱子”而由于你的错误发音，竟说成“请给我一个吻吧。”很显然，在这两个句子中你读错了“自行车”和“盒子”这两个词，而对方也就自然误解了你的意思。另外，语调的不同也可表达着不同的感情，举个例子：伦敦桥塌了！伦敦桥塌了！我的夫人！（声音高昂，表示高兴）伦敦桥塌了！伦敦桥塌了！我的夫人！（声音低沉，表示悲伤）
其次，大家都知道：熟能生巧。当你在说英语时不要怕犯错误。一方面，没有人会不犯错误的。另一方面你可以从错误中总结教训，所以千万不要害羞，脸皮厚一点地大声说出来！
